Havana
Havana, FL is a town in Gadsden County, and a suburb of Tallahassee, the State Capital. The population is just shy of 2500, it was 2,193 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Tallahassee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was named after Havana, Cuba, because in 1906 the growth of shade tobacco was its number one source of revenue and economic development. The town covers 2.83 mi² and is home to several lovely areas and neighborhoods. It boasts a charming historic downtown district with shops, galleries & restaurants and has been recognized with membership in the National “Main Street” Cultural Preservation Program. Historic homes in the city proper can be had for as low as $100K. A choice of several areas of new construction run higher.
Country Club Estates
Over 200, mostly traditional brick homes built in the 90’s, nestled amongst the links of the Havana Golf & Country Club. This kid and golf cart-friendly enclave is less than three minutes from all that downtown Havana has to offer. Sited along the west side of the Florida-Georgia Hwy., it provides easy access to the Big Bend and its many professional and recreational opportunities. Twin Ponds
This community of 2-acre lots on the east side of Havana is newly developed and all new construction. A few lots remain for build-to-suit.
